Alissa Rupp, FAIA, is a leader in the design and planning of museums, visitor centers and children’s environments, which she considers places for community building, informal education, and lifelong learning. She believes that we can improve public life through the serious work of creating spaces where art, nature, culture, and play intersect. On the projects Alissa is most passionate about, children’s experiences are at the forefront.

Alissa founded FRAME in 2019 to bring her “large-firm experience” to a small-firm environment of agility, affordability and accessibility. She works with mission-driven organizations to develop projects that users love, staff can maintain, leadership can champion, and the organization can sustain

Jill Randerson is an independent museum consultant who specializes in assisting children’s museums, science centers, museums and design firms bring their exhibit ideas to life. A strategic thinker and skilled facilitator of multi-stakeholder groups, Jill strives to balance the complex forces of content, aesthetics, budget, space, and time to create meaningful visitor experiences. The foundation of her work is the creation of highly functional collaborations, leveraging the entire project team’s skills to the best possible outcome.  

Jill has worked in the exhibit field for 25 years, assisting museums in refining their messaging and creating successful exhibits. She has produced exhibits for national and international clients on a wide range of subjects including  STEM, STEAM, humanities, nature and art.

Doug Munday is a senior interpretive planner and exhibition designer, creating playful and engaging experiences in children’s museums, interpretive and science centers, zoos and aquariums. He combines a keen sense of story and a fresh design approach with excellent organizational skills, and the ability to facilitate collaboration amongst diverse teams. 

Through 30 years’ practice in exhibit planning and design, Doug has overseen a wide variety of projects around the globe, consistently ensuring that interpretive strategies match operational and communications goals. Doug’s technical knowledge and passion for natural and human history inform his creation of dynamic exhibits that engage varied audiences. 

 

Dean Alker has spent his entire career generating creative, accurate and dynamic computer 3D models and visual imagery: still renderings, enticing animation video productions, and virtual reality content. He helps clients to see beyond the complex data and architectural blueprints of something that doesn’t yet exist. Using multiple systems and tools he can create images the entire team can understand and utilize in a wide range of meaningful ways, whether obtaining permitting approval, inspiring community engagement or aiding in fundraising efforts.

Dean brings value to a project before, and often throughout, the design process by efficiently and effectively depicting the design ideas in a manner that best showcases the look and, in particular, the feel of the space. This process provides effective design collaboration and evaluation opportunities tailored to the unique needs of every project and client.

Allison CraigSundine is a rare combination of talents: she is a senior graphic designer, exhibit designer, and top-notch project manager. As a designer, she creates innovative and vibrant solutions for projects large and small, from children’s museum exhibits and outdoor play spaces to historical experiences full of artifacts and fossils. As a project manager, Allison is able to keep the big picture in mind and at the same time keep the numerous details inherent in any interpretive project in line.

Even after 25 years of design and facilitation, she considers each project a fascinating opportunity to learn new things and apply new technologies. The diversity and depth of Allison’s experience enables her to leverage lessons learned to solve problems creatively and efficiently. In all her work, Allison brings enthusiasm, expertise, creative vision, and a love of color.

JLuke Consulting

Jessica Luke is the Director of UW’s Museology Graduate Program, a Teaching Professor in UW’s Information School, and Principal of JLuke Consulting. At JLuke Consulting, Jessica’s practice is focused on evaluation and strategic planning in museums. She has worked with dozens of museums across the country to build evaluation capacity, to collect data to inform decision making and design, and to develop evidence-based strategies for future action. Recent clients and research partners include the Association of Children’s Museums; KidsQuest Children’s Museum, Seattle Children’s Museum, Thanksgiving Point, DuPage Children’s Museum, Indianapolis Children’s Museum, Minnesota Children’s Museum, and Boston Children’s Museum.
